Residents of Zivi Village in Kegoye Sub-location are mourning the tragic death of Victor Gulavi, the eldest son of George and Redempta Agalomba, who lost his life in a road accident at Burnt Forest on Saturday morning.
According to information from family members and residents, Victor was on duty alongside a colleague guarding a stranded oil tanker when another oil tanker approaching the scene reportedly lost control and rammed into them.
Victor sustained fatal injuries in the collision and died at the scene. His colleague also sustained injuries and was taken for medical treatment.
On Monday, Victor's body was transferred from Eldoret to Vihiga County Funeral Home, where it will be preserved as the family makes arrangements for his burial.
